SIGHTMARK WINS LASER SIGHT OF THE YEAR AT TACTICAL RETAILER CHOICE AWARDS

Sightmark has been named Laser Sight of the Year in the 2025 Tactical Retailer Choice Awards, presented during the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits held in Atlanta, Georgia.

Voted on by dealers nationwide, the Tactical Retailer Choice Awards recognize products that deliver both on the shelf and in the field. Sightmark’s laser sights were selected for their outstanding durability, performance, and user-focused design.

“We’re honoured to receive this recognition, especially at such a major event like the NRA Show,” said James Sellers, CEO of Sellmark. “Dealers are on the front lines of the industry, and their vote of confidence in our products means we’re trusted to provide the best possible equipment to our customers.”

Among Sightmark’s latest offerings is the Earth/Black laser unit, which features a rugged, low-profile frame designed to mount forward of most riflescopes without obstructing the field of view. Built to withstand real-world use, the unit is fully weatherproof, corrosion-resistant, and shockproof. It offers precise 1 MOA windage and elevation adjustments, allowing shooters to zero the laser quickly for close-quarters applications. Visibility reaches approximately 50 yards in daylight and over 600 yards at night.

Sightmark continues to expand its portfolio of tactical optics and accessories. The company produces award-winning riflescopes, gun sights, digital night vision, thermal optics, bore sights, and other advanced shooting solutions inspired by military and law enforcement technologies.

AMMO, INC. SELLS AMMUNITION BUSINESS TO OLIN WINCHESTER, FOCUSES ON GUNBROKER.COM

AMMO, Inc., the Florida-based owner of GunBroker.com, has announced the completion of the sale of its ammunition manufacturing assets to Olin Winchester, LLC, a subsidiary of Missouri-based Olin Corporation.

The sale marks a strategic shift for AMMO, transforming the business into a focused, tech-enabled e-commerce company built around GunBroker.com, the largest online marketplace for firearms, hunting and outdoor-related products.

“This transaction marks a defining moment in AMMO’s evolution,” said Christos Tsentas, Chair of AMMO’s M&A Committee. “We are confident this sale will unlock significant value and enable AMMO to accelerate growth as a pure-play e-commerce platform.”

As part of the deal, Olin Winchester has acquired AMMO’s 185,000-square-foot manufacturing and ballistic testing facility in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

The company stated that recent improvements to GunBroker.com, including a more streamlined checkout experience and expanded product categories, are already driving customer engagement and conversion. With a simplified structure and strengthened balance sheet, AMMO aims to boost investment in its digital marketplace and deliver long-term profitability.

The sale followed a comprehensive strategic review process launched in early 2024, which involved multiple potential buyers and the engagement of independent advisors. The transaction was unanimously approved by AMMO’s Board and its M&A Committee.

AMMO was advised by Baird and represented by Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, with Lake Street Capital Markets providing a fairness opinion to the Board.
