DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

An experienced pheasant and partridge keeper is required to establish and manage a new shoot, with an anticipated release of approximately 10,000 head of game. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and running a high-quality sporting operation, working closely with the owners and integrating the shoot within the wider estate environment. The role requires strong practical gamekeeping skills, a hardworking approach and the ability to deliver consistent bird quality.

The role will also involve working closely with the managing director to support future staffing plans and retail strategy, including mentoring new team members as the retail team expands. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily retail operations, maintaining high visual merchandising standards, managing deliveries and inventory control, building strong customer relationships, providing expert product advice and identifying opportunities for business growth.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience in a retail management or senior sales role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail. Confidence working independently with a proactive, hands-on approach. Proficiency with EPOS systems and Microsoft Office applications. An affinity for country sports and countryside living would be advantageous.

SALARY:
