SGC LOOKS AHEAD TO 2026 WITH TEAM CHANGES AND MAJOR LAUNCHES

This year brings both change and continuity, and here we take a look at what lies ahead, along with the events and product launches the trade can expect over the next 12 months from SGC Group.

As the industry moves into 2026, the SGC Group is pleased to welcome new members to its team while also bidding a fond farewell to a long-serving colleague as they head into a well-earned retirement.

Following one of the most successful years in its history, the ever-growing wholesale powerhouse continues its commitment to sourcing the best products for its customers while investing in the people needed to support and drive that growth. With this in mind, SGC is proud to introduce its 2026 Representative Team, comprising of Ashley Gibbins, Bill Moore, Joe Bennett and John Gumbley.

Alongside the field sales team, dealers will continue to benefit from the experienced in-house support based at SGC’s Exeter headquarters. The internal team of Andy Lamburn, Ryan Helyer and Lee Drydale remain a key point of contact, offering extensive product knowledge across everything from airguns, shotguns, sporting rifles, military-grade target rifles and much more. Collectively, the SGC team brings decades of industry experience and practical insight to support dealers nationwide.

CHANGES FOR 2026

Attentive readers may already have noticed some new faces within the SGC representative line-up. Joining established campaigners Ashley Gibbins and John Gumbley are Bill Moore and Joe Bennett -both well-known figures with long-standing reputations within the shooting industry.

Bill Moore joins SGC following a two-year tenure with Elite Optical. With more than 25 years’ experience in the trade, Bill is widely regarded as one of the industry’s most knowledgeable representatives. His career includes senior roles with GMK, Blaser, Magload and Tal Arms, giving him a comprehensive understanding of every sector of the shooting market. A proven leader, Bill has played a key role in helping dealers identify the right products to drive sales and achieve sustainable growth.

Also joining the team is Joe Bennett, a keen clay shooter and deer stalker who brings a wealth of practical and commercial experience. Joe joins SGC from Blaser, having previously held roles with Thomas Jacks and Raytrade. Having started his career in his local gun shop in South Yorkshire, Joe has spent his entire adult life in the gun trade. With more than a decade of B2B experience, his product knowledge spans rifles, optics, air rifles and shotguns, making him a valuable addition to the team.

Sadly, SGC Group will be bidding a fond farewell to Newport manager and international sales executive Mike Evans. Coming from a distinguished military career, Mike has had a career spanning nearly 40 years within the industry. During his time spent in the industry he has become someone respected and trusted by all for his knowledge, experience, and friendly advice. SGC would like to thank Mike for his service and wish him well in his retirement.

LOOKING AHEAD

For dealers looking to meet their regional representative and gain an early insight into what SGC has planned for the year ahead, the British Shooting Show provides the ideal opportunity. Returning to the NEC, SGC will be showcasing over 25 of the industry’s most respected brands. Visitors can expect to see the latest releases from Perazzi, Benelli, Franchi, ATA, Umarex, Element Optics, Nightforce and more. This will feature alongside exclusive British Shooting Show launches from Perazzi, FX Airguns, ATA and Kofs.

With factory representatives supporting many of the brands on display, the show remains one of the best opportunities in the calendar for expert advice, show offers and first access to the most exciting new products. The SGC Group would like to wish all customers and partners a successful and prosperous year ahead.
