NEW YEAR, NEW KIT – SGC UNVEILS 2025’S MOST EXCITING FIREARMS & AIRGUNS

The start of the year is always a crucial time for the gun trade, with three of the industry’s biggest shows - SHOT Show, the British Shooting Show, and IWA - taking place before the end of March. These events give UK retailers a first look at the latest releases, and for Sportsman Gun Centre (SGC), this year has been no exception. With a strong line up of innovative new products, SGC continues to supply UK dealers with cutting-edge firearms and airguns that will drive demand in 2025.

BENELLI ALPHA – THE LIGHTEST METAL-CHASSIS RIFLE

One of the most talked-about rifles this year is the limited-edition Benelli Alpha, a firearm designed to push the boundaries of what a lightweight centrefire rifle can be. Weighing in at just 2.6 kg, it is the lightest metal-chassis rifle ever produced – around 500 grams lighter than the equivalent Benelli Lupo.

Designed for hunters who demand both precision and portability, the Alpha features a skeletonised stock with a striking spider-web design to reduce weight while improving handling. Benelli guarantees sub-MOA accuracy over three shots with quality commercial ammunition, making it a serious performer as well as a technical showpiece.

The Crio floating barrel is a standout feature, designed to improve thermal resistance and reduce stress, resulting in consistent accuracy. Further enhancing its capabilities, the Alpha comes with an adjustable trigger and a three-lug bolt with a 60-degree lift, ensuring smooth, fast follow-up shots.

With Benelli’s BE.S.T (Benelli Surface Treatment) technology applied to the barrel, bolt, and action, the Alpha is built to withstand corrosion, abrasion, and wear – guaranteeing long-term durability in any conditions.

FX DRS TACTICAL – THE ULTIMATE AIRGUN FOR PRACTICAL SHOOTING

Unveiled at this year’s British Shooting Show, the FX DRS Tactical quickly became a showstopper on the SGC stand. Designed to resemble the legendary AR-15, the DRS Tactical combines military styling with cutting-edge airgun technology.

Built around the FX DRS action block and barrel, the Tactical model introduces a full-length Picatinny rail, tactical forend, and an Arca rail, making it one of the most modular airguns on the market. It features an over-barrel air reservoir connected to an AMP MKII regulator and a magazine-style power plenum, producing up to 85 ft/lb in .25 calibre (FAC) and up to 260 shots per fill in .22 (12 ft/lb).

To match its performance, FX has equipped the rifle with an adjustable two-stage trigger and UG1 pistol grip, while allowing shooters to fit their own stock of choice. Designed to accept an AR-15 buffer tube, the DRS Tactical offers endless stock configurations, making it one of the most customisable air rifles available today.

FX DRS Tactical models and RRPs:

•DRS Tactical 500mm 12 ft/lb (.177, .22, .25) – £831.99

• DRS Tactical 500mm FAC (.177, .22, .25) – £831.99

• DRS Tactical 600mm FAC (.177, .22, .25) – £849.99

• DRS Tactical 700mm FAC (.177, .22, .25) – £922.99

FX IMPACT M4 MICRO – COMPACT POWERHOUSE

For visitors to SGC’s stand at the British Shooting Show, the FX Impact M4 Micro was a standout. Created in partnership with Donny FL and Saber Tactical, this super-short variant of the Impact M4 is built for ultimate compactness and versatility.

The M4 Micro features a redesigned top rail and cheekpiece, a fully adjustable stock, and a compact Arca rail, making it ideal for tripod shooting or freehand use. The reduced size enhances manoeuvrability, allowing shooters to use it across multiple shooting disciplines.

With a limited production run, this exclusive UK 12 ft/lb spec model is available in black or copper, each supplied in a custom case with a certificate of authenticity.

FX Impact M4 Micro models and RRPs:

• Impact M4 Micro 360mm Black 12 ft/lb (.177, .22) – £1,999.99

• Impact M4 Micro 360mm Copper 12 ft/lb (.177, .22) – £1,999.99

FX LEOPARD – THE NEXT-GEN BULLPUP AIRGUN

First seen at IWA 2025, the SGC team are convinced that the FX Leopard is set to be one of the most exciting airgun releases of the year. Designed to push the limits of bullpup rifles, it features a streamlined frame, an over-barrel air cylinder, and a stock-mounted 54cc plenum (FAC models). Capable of up to 122 ft/lb in .30 calibre (FAC), the Leopard is designed for shooters who demand both power and accuracy.

The bottle version of the Leopard is particularly impressive, featuring a 510cc air capacity in Compact models and up to 890cc in the Sniper variant, delivering up to 400 shots per fill in optimum FAC trim.

The tube version, meanwhile, offers a lighter, more streamlined profile, making it ideal for hunting and fast-paced shooting disciplines.

• Leopard Compact Bottle 500mm 12 ft/lb (.177, .22) – £1,616.99
