DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

A full-time, permanent position for a skilled Beat Keeper with at least three years’ experience. The role involves managing a productive beat that produces 25–30 red deer stags, 30–40 hinds, and walked-up grouse. Key duties include stalking with family and guests, implementing the deer management plan, winter feeding, vermin control, gritting, muirburn, assisting on estate-driven days, general estate upkeep, and liaising with neighbouring stakeholders. The position reports to the Head Keeper and is suited to a motivated and forward-thinking individual.

PLACE OF WORK:

Inverness-shire, Scotland (on-site)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum three years’ experience in beat keeping, stalking, and grouse work

• Experience working alongside a Head Keeper

• Valid UK driving licence

• Shotgun and firearms certificates

• ATV certification

• Good level of physical fitness

• Own working dogs essential

• Boat-handling skills desirable

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

The Authorised Firearms Officer will deliver armed and unarmed covert and overt operational support aligned to NCA strategic objectives. Officers may be deployed in a variety of roles, including surveillance, arrests, Taser support, Armed Surveillance, and Mobile Armed Support to Surveillance (MAStS).

Responsibilities include participation in operations and investigations, intelligence gathering, tactical planning, operational deployment, case management, and liaison with internal and external partners.

PLACE OF WORK:

Primary location: Tolworth (Kingston upon Thames) Additional locations include Birmingham, Bristol, Calder (Wakefield), Gillingham, Slough, and Warrington.
