Three Legged Thing has secured exclusive UK distribution rights for Manbily, a China-based manufacturer specialising in shooting and hunting support equipment, marking a shift away from the brand’s long-standing direct-to-consumer sales model.
Until now, Manbily products have largely been sold to UK customers via overseas online marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay, often involving long delivery times and limited aftersales support. Under the new agreement, Three Legged Thing will distribute Manbily products directly to the UK gun and outdoor trade, holding domestic stock and supporting retailers with local availability, margins and customer service.
The decision followed a period of product testing by Three Legged Thing, which identified strong demand for Manbily’s mid-market shooting accessories, including tripods and gun support systems. Initial trial sales in the UK sold through rapidly, highlighting both consumer demand and the lack of structured access for UK retailers.
Three Legged Thing said the partnership allows it to address a gap between premium shooting support equipment and lower-cost imports, without positioning Manbily as a competitor to its own branded products. Instead, Manbily will sit as a separate offering within the company’s distribution portfolio, providing retailers with an alternative option while keeping clear product differentiation.
The move also brings greater control to a product category that has increasingly bypassed the domestic trade through overseas direct sales. By acting as exclusive distributor, Three Legged Thing aims to return those sales to UK retailers while improving delivery times and after-sales standards for end users.
Manbily products are available to the UK trade immediately, with a dedicated presence planned on the Three Legged Thing stand at the upcoming British Shooting Show.
