POINT BLANK OPENS THIRD SITE AS INTEREST IN SHOOTING-BASED LEISURE GROWS
Point Blank Shooting has opened a new venue in Leeds, marking its third UK location following successful launches in Manchester and Newcastle. Situated on Cloth Hall Street, the site features five interactive shooting ranges, a large bar area, and an outdoor terrace.
The concept combines skill-based shooting simulations using “real-feel” replica firearms with a lively social atmosphere. More than 200 digital shooting scenarios are available, from timed challenges to accuracy-based tasks, and visitors can upgrade their kit via a digital armoury. A 132-inch screen transforms the shooting bay into a live sport viewing area, allowing the venue to double as a hub for major sporting events.
Point Blank’s model has proven popular with a broad audience, including groups of varying sizes and social shooters, and it offers a compelling entry point for people who might not otherwise engage with shooting activities. By normalising shooting as a recreational pastime in an urban setting, it provides a gateway for people who might want explore the discipline further.
While many of the replica firearms used at Point Blank would not be legal for civilian use in live-fire contexts under UK law, the business reflects a similar appeal to that of the Clay Bar franchise – combining competition with accessibility and entertainment. For the wider shooting trade, venues like Point Blank present a positive trend: showcasing that UK consumers remain open to shooting-related leisure when presented in a modern and socially engaging format.
As more people are introduced to the enjoyment and challenge of shooting simulation, there is long-term potential to grow interest in traditional live-fire shooting sports, helping to drive new traffic to ranges, clubs and specialist retailers.
