GUN TRADE INSIDER CELEBRATES ONE YEAR OF TRADE-FOCUSED JOURNALISM

Gun Trade Insider (GTI) has marked its one-year anniversary as the UK’s only dedicated publication created specifically for firearms retailers, distributors and trade professionals. Since launching in 2024, GTI has established itself as a trusted and timely voice in the industry – delivering print issues directly to every Registered Firearms Dealer (RFD) in the country and expanding into a multi-platform hub of trade insight and support.

Alongside its monthly print edition, GTI now offers a brand-new website, regular e-newsletters and an active LinkedIn presence – each tailored to help UK businesses navigate the commercial and regulatory complexities of today’s gun trade. These platforms work together to deliver relevant updates, showcase new products and share practical retail guidance at a time when the sector faces ongoing legislative and economic pressures.

Industry leaders have welcomed the publication’s first year and its clear focus on serving the trade.

Gary Lamburn, managing director of SGC Group, commented: “As GTI approaches it’s one year anniversary, The SGC Group considers the magazine to be a game changing asset to the UK Gun Trade from its unique energy and a collective focus on growing and supporting the UK Gun Trade. GTI allows us, alongside the UK Gun Trade, to show off the latest and greatest products and services that we are proud to offer. We as a leading UK distributor, are committed to the magazine for the coming years as it helps promote, support and innovate the wider trade. Furthermore, GTI provides a great source of reliable and up to date information that allows us here at The SGC Group to maintain a focus on preserving and developing our part in an industry that we are incredibly passionate about.”

In an increasingly scrutinised environment, GTI has provided clarity, consistency and credible coverage – qualities that many in the industry now depend on.

Mike Hurney of The Shooting Party said: “Since its inception GTI has become one of my go-to resources for all things gun. As our Industry is increasingly assailed by Legislative, Economic and Societal pressures a central source of news and thought leadership is vital. GTI is that source.”

That sentiment is shared by Marcus Iddon, UK Group Sales Manager at Lyalvale Express: “GTI has been a real breath of fresh air to the industry. We’re genuinely pleased to be associated with the magazine, which has quickly established itself as a valuable and trusted voice in the trade.”

Looking ahead, GTI will continue to evolve in step with the needs of the trade. With its brand new website now live, expanded digital channels and a growing base of engaged readers, the magazine is well positioned to remain the go-to resource for UK firearms businesses seeking information, inspiration and industry direction.

The magazine has also received warm congratulations from many in the trade, including Daystate’s Tony Bells, who simply said: “Congratulations on making it to one year!”

As it enters its second year, Gun Trade Insider remains committed to supporting and strengthening the businesses behind the counter – and to delivering timely, practical and independent journalism that reflects the unique challenges and opportunities facing the UK gun trade.
