THE STALKING SHOW HIGHLIGHTS HUNTING HERITAGE AND SUSTAINABILITY
Since its launch in 2019, The Stalking Show has established itself as a focal point for the UK’s stalking and hunting community, combining industry insight with a passion for the countryside. Organised by experienced stalkers and founded by outdoor enthusiast Deanne Freer, the event is tailored to meet the needs of both visitors and exhibitors, with a strong emphasis on sustainable practices and field-to-fork values.
“Growing up on a small family farm, I developed a deep love for hunting and fishing,” said Deanne. “This passion drives us to create an event that truly reflects the interests of the stalking community.”
This year’s show includes culinary demonstrations from chefs Rachel Green and Jose Souto, interactive shooting experiences and discussions on key industry issues. All exhibitors are selected for their relevance to stalking, hunting and vermin control, with the show team limiting product overlap to maintain a balanced marketplace.
The British Deer Society (BDS) is the official charity partner for 2025, reinforcing the event’s sustainability ethos. The BDS will lead discussions in the show’s Chat Room Theatre, including panels titled The Big Venison Delusion and Deer Management: Are We Getting It Right?, while also promoting its ‘Together for Deer’ campaign.
“The BDS plays a vital role in communicating the value and dedication of the deer stalking community to the wider public,” Deanne added.
The show also presents a valuable commercial platform for stalking retailers, with affordable stand rates and access to a focused audience. A growing waiting list of businesses highlights the show’s rising profile and its appeal to companies seeking meaningful customer engagement.
Looking ahead, organisers hope to grow the event’s footprint across Europe by working with partners including the BDS and BASC. The show’s long-term mission is to promote inclusivity, encourage new participants, and ensure the continued relevance of stalking and sustainable hunting in modern rural life.
Described by its founder as “the people’s event,” The Stalking Show continues to evolve in response to community feedback, offering a mix of education, retail, debate and culinary inspiration that reflects the modern hunting experience.
