Customer service specialist
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
This is a full-time, remote role. Reporting to the subscriptions manager, the customer service specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality support to subscribers, readers and online community. The role involves handling subscription inquiries, resolving customer issues and ensuring a seamless experience for all interactions with Fieldsports Press. You will be the main point of contact for our customers, helping with everything from subscription renewals to troubleshooting delivery problems.
PLACE OF WORK:
Remote (within the UK)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Experience with subscription management and CRM systems is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with customer service tools
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
SALARY:
£25,000 per annum

General manager at The Royal Berkshire (PRB)
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
The general manager will oversee all operational, commercial and strategic aspects of The Royal Berkshire estate in Pangbourne. You will manage staff, drive sales and develop long-term business performance. Reporting directly to the CEO of Purdey, the role will focus on maintaining PRB’s reputation for shooting excellence, client entertainment and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, the general manager will be responsible for the redevelopment of the site and participation in industry events.
PLACE OF WORK:
Pangbourne, Berkshire, with potential national and international travel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven experience in client-facing roles, operational management and financial skills (budgeting and P&L management)
• Experience in FMCG, sporting, leisure, hospitality or a related industry
• Sales-driven mindset with strong leadership skills
• Experience in sales, operations, marketing and technology
• Relationship management and communication skills
• Knowledge of the shooting industry is advantageous but not required
• Affinity for the countryside and environmental values

Engineer/gunsmith (Full- or part-time)
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced engineer/ gunsmith to join our team. The role requires proficiency in operating a lathe and milling machine. The successful candidate will work on a range of projects related to gun manufacturing and repair, contributing to the high standards of craftsmanship for which The Saddlery and Gunroom is known.
PLACE OF WORK:
Westerham, Kent
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with lathe and milling machines is essential. Additional qualifications in engineering or metalworking will be highly regarded, too.
