GMK ANNOUNCES IMPORTANT LEADERSHIP TRANSITION
GMK, a leading distributor in the firearms industry based in Hampshire, has announced that David Barton will step down from his role as general manager. His departure comes as he takes up a new opportunity in his career.
During his tenure at GMK, Barton made contributions to the company ’s operations and customer relations. His exit coincides with GMK’s continued progression, as the Beretta Group approaches its 500th anniversary in 2026.
“Although my time at GMK has been shorter than expected, it has been a rewarding experience working alongside the team,” Barton said. “GMK and the Beretta Group have a strong future ahead, and I’ve been offered a new opportunity that I simply couldn’t pass up.”
Barton also expressed his gratitude for the support that he received from GMK’s customers during his tenure.
“I’ve had the privilege of meeting some incredible shooters, dealers and organisations. Even though I’ll be leaving the industry, I hope to still see some of them on the shooting range.”
GMK has assured its customers and partners that the company ’s operations will continue seamlessly during the transition. The search for the next general manager is already underway, with Oskar Waktare stepping in as acting general manager in the interim.
