DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

The lead shooting coach will support the strategic delivery of the College’s Target Rifle programme by providing high-quality coaching across all ability levels, from beginners to county-level athletes. Working alongside the head of shooting, the role includes shaping an inclusive and aspirational shooting environment, delivering technical coaching, supporting training planning, organising competitions and camps, and assisting with the operational management of the Wellington College Target Rifle Club.

PLACE OF WORK:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• A strong technical background in both smallbore and full-bore disciplines

• Recent coaching and competition experience at county level or above

• A current civilian range supervisor qualification (NSRA RCO or NRA RSO)

• A thorough understanding of range safety and compliance.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong experience in producing wild birds, progressive management practices and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a well-run team.
