A PROMISING FUTURE FOR PERAZZI IN THE UK

Earlier this year, the Italian gunmaker Perazzi embarked on an exciting new journey by partnering with the SGC Group, setting the stage for fresh innovation and investment in the UK. This partnership has led to the creation of Perazzi UK, which is already making waves under the leadership of industry expert Becky White.

PERAZZI UK TAKES FLIGHT

Perazzi UK, under Becky’s direction, has hit the ground running, making its mark at various events across the UK. From open days to high-profile competitions, Perazzi UK has quickly established itself as a strong presence in the shooting community.

One of the standout moments for the new subsidiary was its debut at the DTL World Championships in July, held at Bywell Shooting Ground. This event provided a fantastic opportunity for the Perazzi UK team to connect with shooters from around the world while showcasing their impressive range of competition firearms. Perazzi UK sponsored a layout for the championship and offered demo guns for competitors to test throughout the five-day event. The brand’s focus on the competition scene resonated well with participants, many of whom praised the quality of the firearms and the team’s professionalism.

Becky reflected on the experience, she told Gun Trade Insider: “It’s great to get out and meet the competitors using our guns and showcase these amazing products. A big part of what we’re doing at Perazzi UK is educating shooters about the full scope of what Perazzi has to offer. There’s a lot of misinformation out there and we want to encourage both game and competition shooters to consider Perazzi, which opens up some really valuable conversations.”

SHOWCASING CRAFTSMANSHIP: THE GAME FAIR AT BLENHEIM PALACE

Following their success at the DTL World Championships, Perazzi UK continued to build momentum with their appearance at this year’s Game Fair, held at Blenheim Palace. Over three days, the team showcased a broad selection of their shotguns, from the popular MX12 and MX20 game guns to the exhibition-grade SCO models. For competitive shooters, the High Tech series and the renowned MX2000s were on display, with the latter being the preferred choice of world champion shooter George Digweed.

“AS 2024 UNFOLDS, PERAZZI UK SHOWS NO SIGNS OF SLOWING DOWN. THE TEAM IS SET TO ATTEND THE PERAZZI 500 FAUXDEGLA, SHOWCASING COMPETITION SHOTGUNS.”

Among the 18 handcrafted guns on show, a few pieces truly stood out. One highlight was a pair of specially made MX12 SC3 Grouse guns, featuring intricate scroll engravings that depicted grouse against a backdrop of moorland. These beautifully crafted guns are part of an exclusive run, with only five pairs commissioned worldwide.

However, the real showstopper was the MX20 SCO Sidplate. This gun, finished to the highest standard, featured detailed engravings by the legendary Italian master engraver Angelo Galeazzi. Named “Goddess of the Hunt,” the MX20 SCO Sidplate displayed neo-classical scenes on its side plates, all created using the highly sought-after ‘Bulino’ engraving technique. The intricate depictions of Diana, the goddess of the hunt, along with delicate floral scrollwork, made this gun a true work of art.

In addition to these exhibition pieces, Perazzi UK also introduced the DC12, a beautifully crafted side-by-side shotgun that often gets overshadowed by Perazzi’s more famous over-and-under models. Available as either a boxlock or side plate, the DC12 can be customised in various ways and, like all Perazzi guns, is built to the customer’s exact specifications.

Feedback from the Game Fair was overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors expressing interest in the products and complimenting the Perazzi team on their display. The event highlighted a key message from Perazzi UK: while the brand is known for catering to serious shooters, it also offers endless options for those looking to own a truly bespoke gun. From barrel lengths to bore sizes, chokes and ribs, Perazzi allows for an unmatched level of customisation, all at an attainable price point. The MX2000 and High Tech Models, for example, start at £12,564.00 and £12,642.00 respectively, which includes a factory tour and the opportunity to personally select the wood for your gun.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR PERAZZI UK?

As 2024 unfolds, Perazzi UK shows no signs of slowing down. The team is set to attend the Perazzi 500 at Fauxdegla, where they will once again showcase a selection of their competition shotguns. Looking beyond the current calendar, plans for 2025 are already taking shape, with new events, competitions and shows in the works. Sponsored events and the next year’s show season are also on the horizon, promising even more opportunities for Perazzi UK to engage with the shooting community.

It’s clear that Perazzi UK is on a path of growth and expansion, building on the strong foundation laid by its partnership with the SGC Group. For those keen to learn more about Perazzi or discuss upcoming events, Becky White and her team are eager to connect, offering expertise and a deep passion for craftsmanship.
