CLAY SHOOTING HELPS RAISE RECORD £2.5 MILLION DURING BRITISH GRAND PRIX WEEK

Clay shooting took centre stage during this year’s British Grand Prix week, with three charity events organised by EJ Churchill raising a record-breaking £2.5 million for good causes.

The events brought together leading figures from Formula 1 and the wider motorsport world, demonstrating the growing appeal of clay shooting as a high-profile hospitality and fundraising platform.

One of the week’s highlights was the Clays for a Cause charity shoot, where Sky Sports F1 commentator Martin Brundle congratulated Sir Chris Hoy alongside Christian Horner. The event supported Tour de 4, Sir Chris Hoy’s charitable initiative.

EJ Churchill also organised and delivered two further charity clay shoots during the week. These supported the Wings for Life foundation, which funds spinal cord research, and Sir

Jackie Stewart’s Race Against Dementia, which accelerates research into the prevention and treatment of dementia.

Collectively, the three events raised £2.5 million, which EJ Churchill says is the highest amount ever generated through charity clay shooting events in a single week.

Rob Fenwick, managing director of EJ Churchill, said: “It has been an incredible privilege for EJ Churchill to play a part in three such prestigious charity events during British Grand Prix week. We are honoured to have worked alongside Sir Chris Hoy, Christian Horner, Sir Jackie Stewart and Red Bull in helping these fantastic charities raise such an extraordinary amount of money.

“I’m immensely proud of our team, whose professionalism and attention to detail ensured every event ran seamlessly from start to finish. To see £2.5 million raised through charity clay shooting events in a single week is something I never imagined possible, and it shows just how powerful these events can be when great people come together for great causes.

“It’s been an exceptionally busy summer of charity shoots for EJ Churchill, and to finish with a week like this really is the icing on the cake. Knowing that these funds will help transform lives makes all the hard work worthwhile.”

The success of the events underlines the role clay shooting continues to play in corporate hospitality and charitable fundraising, attracting high-profile participants while generating significant support for worthwhile causes. The record-breaking total also represents a significant achievement for the sport, showcasing its ability to bring together influential figures from across motorsport in support of life-changing charitable initiatives.
