A1 Decoy, one of the UK’s best-known online shooting retailers, has been placed on the market as its owners prepare to retire after more than 20 years in the industry.
Based in Bristol, the business specialises in shooting accessories and equipment, while also operating as a registered firearms dealer and ammunition retailer. It also offers international hunting trips and designs and manufactures its own range of pigeon shooting products, including flappers and magnets.
According to the company, A1 Decoy has built a customer base of around 50,000 people and processed almost 500,000 orders since it was established in the early 2000s. The business reported a turnover of £1.3 million during the 2025 financial year.
The company holds a 4.7-star Google rating, an ‘Excellent’ Trustpilot rating, 99.9% positive feedback from more than 144,000 eBay reviews and a 90% recommendation rate on Facebook.
A1 Decoy also holds Platinum Dealer status for HIKMICRO thermal imaging and night vision products in the UK and says it has established long-term relationships with a number of leading industry suppliers.
The owners believe the business offers significant growth potential through its established direct-to-consumer and business-to-business sales channels in both the UK and overseas markets.
The current directors said they are committed to supporting a smooth handover to a new owner as part of the sale process.
