This year’s Game Fair, held at Ragley Hall from 25–27 July, welcomed a record-breaking 128,000 visitors and raised £10,954 for The Gunmakers Trust – its Official Charity Partner for 2025. Visitors were given the opportunity to donate to the Trust during the ticket purchasing process via The Game Fair’s website and box office. In addition, the Trust was present at the event with its own stand on Gunmakers’ Row, offering an important platform to showcase its work and engage with the wider trade.
All funds raised will directly support the Trust’s programmes, including its apprentice bursary scheme, which aims to secure the future of British gunmaking by funding the training of young craftspeople.
“The Gunmakers Trust was delighted to be appointed as the Official Charity Partner to The Game Fair 2025,” said Robin Curtis, chairman of trustees. “We attended the show as an exhibitor for the first time, enabling us to interact in a unique environment with the British gunmaking trade, fellow Liverymen and supporters of education and training at the grass roots level. We were humbled to learn that donations made via online ticket sales to The Game Fair were just shy of £11,000, a truly spectacular figure that will enable us to fully fund an apprentice gunmaker bursary for two years. I would like to personally and sincerely thank everybody who contributed.”
James Gower, managing director of The Game Fair, added: “We were thrilled to welcome The Gunmakers Trust as our Official Charity Partner for The Game Fair 2025. It was inspiring to see so many visitors engage with the Trust’s mission and contribute so generously. To have raised such a fantastic amount through ticket donations is a testament to the strength of our community’s support for preserving British craftsmanship and investing in future generations of gunmakers. It’s exactly the kind of impact we hoped this partnership would achieve.”
The Game Fair will return to Ragley Hall from 24–26 July 2026.
