ARTEMIS OUTDOORS UK CLOSES AFTER INDUSTRY CHALLENGES

Artemis Outdoors UK, a well-established distributor in the outdoor and hunting trade, has announced it will be closing its doors permanently. The decision comes amid a range of significant industry challenges, including Brexit, Covid-19, recent company takeovers, and the impact of the Plymouth shooting incident, all of which have placed unprecedented pressures on the business.

In a statement addressed to dealers, Artemis Outdoors UK expressed deep regret over the closure. The company noted that each of its suppliers will soon be announcing alternative distributors to ensure continuity for retailers. Artemis Outdoors UK has assured its partners that the office will remain open for at least one month to address any questions and facilitate the sale of remaining stock from its warehouse.

“Some of you may have questions and concerns about how this announcement will impact you,” the statement read. “Please be assured we will keep our offices open for at least one month to answer any questions you may have and also to sell off the remaining stock we have in our warehouse.”

Artemis Outdoors UK confirmed it will continue to collect any outstanding debts owed by partners until accounts are settled, ensuring that final business obligations are met.

The company extended heartfelt thanks to its dealers and partners for their support over the years, acknowledging the loyalty and resilience of the industry in what it described as “difficult times.”

Retailers are advised to look out for announcements from Artemis Outdoors UK’s suppliers, who will soon confirm new distributor arrangements. This transition aims to minimise disruption in the supply of products previously provided by Artemis Outdoors UK.
