The annual Gun Trade Dinner will take place at the Victory Services Club, London, on Thursday 20 November 2025, raising funds for the Gun and Allied Trades Benevolent Society (GATBS).
The evening begins at 6pm for 7pm, with lounge suits as the dress code. Comedian Keith Farnan will provide entertainment, and tickets are priced at £96, which includes a three-course meal, half a bottle of wine and the evening’s entertainment.
The dinner is held in aid of the Gun and Allied Trades Benevolent Society, a charity with a long history of supporting members of the trade and their dependents.
The GATBS was founded in 1926 by the directors of two leading British gunmakers, who sought to create a fund to assist colleagues facing hardship. From the outset, the Society helped gunsmiths injured during the First World War, those incapacitated by illness or accident, and others who found themselves financially destitute after retirement.
Nearly a century on, the Society continues to support beneficiaries across the trade. Some are living with acute financial hardship, while others receive assistance during periods of temporary incapacity.
The charity is run by a volunteer committee, ensuring that almost all income is directed to those in need. While generous donations from benefactors have played an important role in the past, the Society notes that today’s economic climate makes regular donations and events such as the Gun Trade Dinner all the more important.
Tickets can be purchased individually or in groups by contacting: All are welcome to attend the dinner, which celebrates the British gun and allied trades while supporting an enduring charitable cause within the industry.
