DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

The Oxford Gun Company is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its team and help grow the business across sales and shooting activities, working alongside David Florent. The successful applicant will handle sales in the shop, provide shooting instruction across clay and game disciplines, and assist with the day-to-day running of the shooting grounds. Applicants should have a good understanding of country sports, including firearms, clothing and accessories, as well as experience managing shoots and delivering excellent customer service.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experienced shooting instructor across game and clay disciplines

• Experience running and managing clay and game shoots

• Strong customer service and sales skills

• Good product knowledge across guns, clothing and accessories

• Flexibility to work five days out of six (Monday to Saturday)

• Full driving licence and access to own transport

• Clean criminal record and willingness to undergo a full DBS check

An exciting opportunity has arisen within GMK’s workshop facility to join a small, skilled team responsible for repairing and servicing a wide range of firearms, including over-and-under, side-by-side, and semi-automatic shotguns, as well as centre-fire and rimfire rifles. Reporting to the workshop manager, the successful candidate will ideally have experience in gunsmithing or firearm repair, though training will be provided. Candidates with strong woodwork and metalwork skills who wish to develop into a gun stocker are also encouraged to apply. The role involves all aspects of gunsmithing, including repair, maintenance, and woodwork. Applicants should possess problem-solving and IT skills, along with a good telephone manner and strong customer service ability.
