JOHN ROTHERY WHOLESALE EXPANDS WITH NEW RIFLE RANGE, CO2 CAPSULES AND HERITAGE PRODUCTS

John Rothery Wholesale has announced a series of product developments, strengthening its position as one of the UK’s leading distributors to the shooting trade. The company has secured exclusive UK distribution for Pallas rifles, launched a new Bisley-branded CO₂ capsule range, and reaffirmed its commitment to traditional products such as catapults, describing them as part of Britain’s outdoor heritage.

EXCLUSIVE PALLAS RIFLE DISTRIBUTION

John Rothery Wholesale has been appointed the exclusive UK distributor for Pallas’s SA15 and BA15 rifle models. The agreement brings Pallas’s precision-engineered platforms, manufactured and assembled in Germany to exacting standards, to the UK dealer network through John Rothery’s established trade channels.

The Pallas BA15 bolt-action and SA15 semi-automatic rifles combine contemporary AR-style ergonomics with traditional German manufacturing quality. Both models are built to tight tolerances, finished for durability and reliability, and are available in black or desert colourways to suit a range of customer preferences. Trade prices start at £290 + VAT.

“Bringing a German-made rifle range like Pallas to the UK under exclusive distribution is an exciting step for us,” said

Sean O’Driscoll, managing director of John Rothery Wholesale. “We believe the combination of Pallas’s build quality, contemporary styling and competitive trade pricing will resonate strongly with our dealer partners.”

John Rothery Wholesale will oversee UK stock, parts supply and technical support for authorised firearms dealers. The company does not sell direct to consumers, operating solely through the trade to protect and support the retail channel. The new agreement is designed to give dealers a differentiated, German-made rifle line backed by national logistics and warranty support.

BISLEY CO RANGE LAUNCHED

The company has also introduced a new Bisley-branded range of CO₂ capsules, including an 88g option for airguns designed for this size. Engineered for consistent power and extended shot capacity, the Bisley 88g capsule is manufactured to rigorous safety and quality standards, providing stable pressure across typical UK temperature ranges, ideal for extended range sessions and competition practice.

“The Bisley 88g CO₂ is part of a comprehensive new CO₂ capsule range under our Bisley brand,” said O’Driscoll. “Not only is it a superb performer, it’s also sharply priced, with prices starting at just £2.91 per capsule.”

The new capsules expand the company’s established Bisley portfolio, offering retailers a dependable consumable line that combines performance, safety and value.

CATAPULTS MAINTAIN COUNTRYSIDE APPEAL

Alongside these modern product launches, John Rothery Wholesale continues to promote traditional outdoor recreation products, highlighting the enduring appeal of catapults. The company distributes the Barnett range of catapults and slingshots, still regarded as the UK’s most trusted brand, and sees the category as a gateway to outdoor skills and hands-on learning.

Sean O’Driscoll said recent criticism of catapults has overlooked their cultural and practical value. “They’ve always held a special place in Britain’s countryside culture,” he explained. “For generations, they’ve represented patience, accuracy and the satisfaction that comes from learning a traditional skill, values that are just as important today as they’ve ever been.”

He added that catapults are not toys but simple engineering tools that reward focus and control. “When used safely and responsibly, they encourage coordination and concentration and for many, a bit of friendly target practice offers a relaxing way to enjoy the outdoors.”

Barnett’s products combine decades of know-how with modern materials and safety-led design, making them suitable for newcomers and seasoned users alike. “They span generations, spark curiosity and appeal to those who enjoy practical, hands-on skills,” O’Driscoll said. “Catapults deserve recognition for what they are — simple, well-made tools that promote patience, focus and enjoyment of the countryside.”

By adding modern rifle lines and consumable products alongside heritage outdoor items, John Rothery Wholesale continues to diversify its portfolio while maintaining its longstanding commitment to supporting UK retailers exclusively through the trade.
